SILVOLDE   1-7 April 2006

PROGRAMME

Saturday: 18:00: Arrival in Silvolde

Sunday: Family day

The host family will take care of you in a typically Dutch way.

Monday: Official welcome at school.

Word of welcome, guided tour, getting to know your way around."Rondje Achterhoek"
Dutch students will prepare their guests a guided tour through the village and the direct surroundings of our school. They will visit some typically Dutch things (mill, church, old peoples home, etc.)

Start project:
A quick introduction with which it will be possible to start working on the project the next day.

Tuesday: Project Day

All students will be working on their project this day. It is supposed to be a "fieldworkday": the Dutch students have prepared things to work on for the project.

The general subject for this week will be Dutch music, your own music, Dutch-French music, show elements, clothing and fashion, traditions ...
A fairly broad spectre of possibilities, but like last year we want all students working together on a subject that has their attention, something they like well enough, and we want them to make a show about all these elements ...
Most important "subject": working together on a presentation evening.

Evening programme: swimming.

Wednesday:  Amsterdam

Visit to Amsterdam: Anne Frank’s House, boat trip, walk through the city, spare time in small groups.

Thursday:

Brunch. You should not start too early this day ...

Project. Now it's time to make a real nice presentation out of the project you have been working on since last Tuesday.

Presentation Evening:

Every group will give a smashing presentation in the auditorium for a big audience of the host families, fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, other teachers ...
Hopefully we can have a party to celebrate the results afterwards

Friday : Goodbye .

8 :00 : departure.
