The giraffe lives in a herd. It’s a mammal and a grass eater. It lives in hot countries like Africa. It is 6 meters tall. On their bodies they have a unique marking. Giraffes live about 26 years in the wild and 36 years in captivity. Their senses of smell and hearing are well developed. 

Their gestation is about fourteen months. Their babies are born in April or in Mars and they measure about 1.60 m. A giraffe can have 12 babies in its life and one or two a year. It eats 30 kilos of accacia leaves a day and it drinks 35 liters of water too.
