The giraffe

The giraffe lives in a herd. It’s a mammal and a grass eater. It lives in hot countries like Africa. It is 6 meters tall. On their bodies they have a unique marking. Giraffes live about 26 years in the wild and 36 years in captivity. Their senses of smell and hearing are well developed. |
Their gestation is about fourteen months. Their babies are born in April or in Mars and they measure about 1.60 m. A giraffe can have 12 babies in its life and one or two a year. It eats 30 kilos of accacia leaves a day and it drinks 35 liters of water too. |
