Since 1837 the state of Michigan has been the 26th state of America. It’s situated in North-Eastern America and surrounded by 4 of the Great Lakes: lake Michigan, lake Superior, lake Huron and lake Erie. Lake Michigan and Lake Huron are separated by the strait of Mackinaw and the 8-mile bridge. Thanks to the lakes, people say that this state looks like a left hand. There are 9,295,000 inhabitants and the capital city is Lansing, even if the most famous and the most populated one is Detroit. |
The
state of Michigan is part of the Rust Belt, famous for its
industrialisation, mainly motors with Ford. But the state suffered of
the crisis, with factories closing down. Teenagers also enjoy the movie theatre, the drive in cinema, the shopping between friends… They’re used to going on roller coasters, like Cedar Point, to playing sport (basketball, tennis, football, soccer, golf, …). But the best is to do all those things. They eat ice cream or drink coffee!!! |
