Intro.
Handball is a collective sport which is played at 7 against 7 in a room. It’s a contact sport with a fast play. The players are at the same time attackers and defenders.
History.
Handball was born in 1932 in Alsace ; the
first federation was created on October the 1st, 1935 .
Handball developed especially in schools.
In 2000, there were 300,000 official
handball players .(1/4 of female)
The rules.
The game,
managed by 2 referees, lasts 2 periods of 30 min, with a time out of
10 min.
The game consists in
sending the ball into the net. The winner is the team which scores
the most goals.
The French Team.
1995, the male team of France won the first world title in a collective sport. They are the famous "barjots", born in 1992 when they came back bronzed from the Olympic Games of Barcelona. Now they are nicknamed "les costauds"

The principal clubs of the world are in Europe:
-Magdeburg in Germany
-Pampelune in Spain with
the French team captain: Jackson Richardson the best player in the world.
-Monpellier in France
: The first French club to win the Champions League in 2003
SandBall
Sandball is a derivative of handball which is played on the sand at 5 against 5. Certain rules are modified to have a more beautiful and faster game.
Conclusion.
Handball is a very beautiful sport but very little mediatized compared with football and basketball, which is a pity.
