Kurt Cobain was born on the 20th of February 1967. He’s the leader of NIRVANA, certainly one of the most important bands of the 90's. The history of Nirvana is linked to Cobain’s life. He is considered as the symbol of a disillusioned generation.

He spends his youth in Aberdeen, a town in the state of Washington, in the USA. His teenage is very difficult : he stops school and lives on little jobs. At that moment, he tries graff and LSD.

In 1985, he begins his artist career with the band "Fecal Matter". This experience doesn't last for a long time but it allows him to meet Chris Novoselic, the future bass guitarist of Nirvana, and they form a band that changes names a lot : Skid Row, Bliss, Throat Oyster, Windowpane, Ted Ed Fred, Pen Cap Shew and finally NIRVANA. They scour pubs to make money with their music.
They record their first model with Dale Crover, a drummer. The label Sub Pop decides to give them a chance. So they release the first single of the band in November 1988 : "Love Buzz" (1,000 copies).

The first album, "Bleach", is not a big success and they move on tour in the USA and Great Britain. We are in 1989. During this year, Kurt meets Courtney Love, his future wife, but they will be in love two years later.

In 1991, the second album , "Nevermind", is released with a new drummer : Dave Grohl. This opus is more pop and it will send out the Grunge movement. This album contains the big hit : "Smell Like Teen Spirit". Cobain is totally overwhelmed because of the success and he starts taking heroin. It is the beginning of the end.

In 1992, he marries Courtney Love in Hawaï.

Nirvana’s new album, "Incesticide", is released some months later. It is more like the style of Bleach.
At the beginning of 1993, they come back with "In Utero". This album talks about Cobain’s devils: drug, phobia of the star-system, problems with his wife. It's considered as the album of maturity. The begin a tour to finish with the recording of "MTV Unplugged in New York". This acoustic album, in which Cobain’s very soft voice contrasts with the rage of the beginning of NIRVANA, is NIRVANA’s last album with Cobain alive. Certainly the swan song.

On the 4^th of March 1994, he tries to commit suicide with Rohypnol and champagne. He goes to a detoxification centre in Los Angeles, but he climbs the wall to escape and goes to his house in Seattle two days later.

On the 5^th of April 1994, Kurt Cobain, in his house in Seattle, 171 Lake Washington Blvd E., writes a farewell letter, takes heroin and shoots himself down in his head with a rifle.

He is found three days later, on the 8th, by an electrician.

Nirvana’s adventure comes to an end and it is the beginning of Kurt Cobain's myth.

The greatest hits of the band are released in 2002. Some previously unreleased songs will be released in November, on the 23^rd, with 61 "new" songs and a DVD with some live extracts.

In my opinion Nirvana`s article is very interesting, first because I like the group a lot, and I have read lots of magazines and books about Nirvana and Kurt Cobain. I believe in your article, on what you said about his life with the drugs and also his personal life, like the problem about the "star-system".
I would write more about his wife, Courtney Love, and the problems that they had, that were one of the principal causes of Kurt Cobain`s death. Also he had lots of problems with the band.
Finally I would say that he was a great person, and the mystery is still open if he commited suicide or if they killed him.

Hi ! I find the article very great, because I´m a great fan of the band. If you hadn`t written the article, I would have tried to write it by myself.
But now I’m writing over NBA and The MVP of the season 05/06.

Also we think you are right by saying Curt was one of the most popular singers in the history.
