The young group first appeared in 1997 and released two demos with the famous “Nawak”.
In 1998 Pleymo evolved with the departure of the first guitarist Mathias, the arrival of Erik and the integration of a DJ : Franck who was not very famous in his former group of metal like Linkin park. The group is formed by 6 boys. The singer is Mark Maggiori. Little by little, the group came to light and was noticed by the French producter Stéphane Kraemer. Pleymo recorded an album “Keskispasse?” in 1999 on the label Wet Music in the studios Implus in Belgium. The CD was released on the 15th June 1999 and won a reasonable success with 10 000 albums sold in one year and a half. In 2002 they released “Episode 2: Medecine cake” which was made with more time and more means than the other one. |
The group, now in the music company EPIC, was noticed in Belgium, Luxemburg, England , Japan where they made lots of concerts in 2002 and later in 2004 with the English edition of the album called “The doctors tank medecine cake”. And people like that because the members of Pleymo are very close to hand with their audience. They made concerts in little cafes and in big rooms , but each of their concerts is a great moment. Pleymo takes part in the Nowhere Team which is a grouping of rock and pop bands like Enhancer, Vegastar or Wunjo; it was created in 1999 to lie down the nowhere style in France. Pleymo is now a celebrated band with the new album called “Rock” recorded in ICP studios of Bruxelles. The singles “Rock” and “Divine excuse” got out and won a wonderful success in France and Belgium. They made lots of concerts and in 2005 they released a DVD “Ce soir c’est grand soir” a new edition of “Rock” with unpublished songs like “On n’changera rien” written by the singer of the band Kyo . This six boys are now preparing a new album for 2006. |
