The school life of a German pupil is very different.
a Primary School We have to start school at the age of 6. First we go 4 years to a kind of Primary School, but we have just state schools in Germany. In these 4 years we will be in a class together with bad and good pupils and we will get our first marks in the third year. After these 4 years our parents and teachers will decide what we should do next.
But many pupils attend the Realschule or the Gesamtschule (High School). Pupils who go to a Gesamtschule can try to do their Gymnasium final examination there, too. We have to learn different languages in different school years. Pupils who go to a Gymnasium start learning the first foreign language in the 5th year and the second in the 6th year.In most of the schools you can learn English and Latin or French, but you can learn more languages too, like Spanish.

Pupils who go to a Realschule have to learn English from the 5th year and at least for a year French in the 7th year. Pupils who go to a HHHH auptschule have to learn English from the 5th year. But you can learn everything at the High School. Every pupil has to write 6 big tests in English, Maths, German (Latin or French) every year. We have schools which you can visit the whole day and we have schools which you can visit the school days. Highschools in Germany are like Highschools in America, but the other schools are often different. A school day of a German people is like this: 1. school, 2. homework, 3. free time.
